www.dha.com.tr ELAZIĞ HIT BY 6.0 EARTHQUAKE; 41 KILLED- SCORES INJURED An earthquake of magnitude 6.0 shaked Elazığ province of eastern Turkey. The epicentre of the earthquake was recorded as Başyurt district of Kovancılar town. 41 people are reported to have died and many others injured during the earthquake, which took place at 04.32am The shake was felt in neighbouring Tunceli, Malatya, Bingöl, Erzurum and Diyarbakır provinces as well. Aftershocks are reported to continue in the area, while rescue operations are carried out for those who are trapped in the wreckage.
