Crimson Pizza original song and video mucking around at school Jan 2005 Please rate and comment (don't be too mean :P) So Ytk's english project was based on our Meaning of Adaptation song. Seen here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=m8-RNZUnHrc That song had all our heart and soul in the music, lyric, arrangement, everything. MY english media project however, had a song written in 5 minutes. Cuz I forgot it was due in 2 days and I needed to shoot a video for it as well. So we quickly wrote up a sh!tty four chord song in MacMillan's room and ran to the media room to record it. Now the logistics, we moved the drumset and everything down to the medai room, which was next to a grade 7 classroom. They must hate us for playing some crap song so loud next door for the better part of an hour, haha. Anyways, this song and video was based on George Orwell's classic '1984' book about totalitarianism or something. And the video reflects this too. Hope you like it. vocals - Shan guitar - Sup bass - Ytk drums - Dom Camera - MacMillan, Sup, me, whoever wasn't in the scene music & lyrics by Crimson Pizza Copyright 2005 Hide

"TORTURE" As time moves swiftly on and on...a constant river of moments is always invading the space in between....yes even seconds bring back vivid recollections of brief thoughts of clarity as they going rushing by. A brief glimpse into a future that is continuing to become more bizarre then a Terry Gilliam film. Could this really be the inevitable outcome of a prophecy fulfilled that was written about long ago in George Orwell's '1984'?....and are you really that 'taken aback'...are you really that overwhelmed with surprise...The history of man is unfortunately riddled with war and murder. Dominated by men (and women) who cannot stop this disease of greed and power that overtakes them to such a point of corruption, that the only thing left to satisfy their insatiable desire of lust and power is to fucking "rule the world".... __________________________ Torture Now here's yet another issue in which our glorious leaders cannot but help but feed themselves the 5-course meal of sticking there feet in their mouths. The ability to lie is an art in and of itself....and it is obvious that are boys in the white house are fucking horrible liars.... Can you imagine playing poker with Rumsfeld or Gonzalez...(I'm assuming President Bush isn't aware of the game as of yet). Fucking liars...lie after lie after lie....and 'most' of us...are well aware that there lying to us every night and everyday....and the fact that we can't do anything about it is really starting to hit home with me. It's kinda like having an argument with a guy who has the guns and the money, even if I prove my point....He's the one who makes the rules....and breaks his rules ______________________ I wanted to share an article I've recently read. His words are more to the point. Bush's torture ban is full of loopholes The president has issued an executive order to stop the CIA from using torture, but the ban is unenforceable. By David Cole A shackled detainee being taken to the detention center at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, Dec. 6, 2006 Once upon a time, a U.S. official's condemnation of torture was a statement of moral principle. Today, it is an opportunity for obfuscation. We have learned that when President Bush says, "We don't torture," it's important to read the fine print. So it was once again on July 20, when Bush issued a long-awaited executive order purporting to regulate interrogation tactics used by the CIA in the "war on terror." According to a White House press release, the order provides "clear rules" to implement the Geneva Conventions governing treatment of detainees in wartime -- rules the administration insisted did not even apply to the "war on terror" until the Supreme Court ruled otherwise last summer. But while the new rules reflect a significant retreat by the administration from its initial torture policies, they are anything but "clear," come far too late in the day, and in any event are unenforceable. The executive order prohibits the CIA from using torture and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment, sexual abuse, denigration of religion and serious "acts of violence" in its interrogations. While one might have thought that the impermissibility of such tactics in official U.S. interrogations would go without saying, it has not been so since 9/11. This is an administration that narrowly defined "torture" to permit the use of sexual abuse, stress positions, injecting suspects with intravenous fluids until they urinate on themselves, prolonged sleep deprivation, exposure to extreme heat and cold and "waterboarding," i.e., simulated drowning. This is an administration that adopted as official legal policy the counterintuitive and deeply immoral position that international law's ban on "cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment" did not apply to foreigners held by the U.S. outside U.S. borders. And this is an administration that opined that the president could order torture itself if he so chose as a way of "engaging the enemy," notwithstanding a federal criminal statute and ratified treaty banning torture under all circumstances, including war. __________________________________________ Be informed!
