Every single day, someone does something that totally embarrasses them, but makes everyone else feel happier about their crappy lives. We've all seen plenty of examples of this; the kid who forgot his trumpet for the big concert, the klutz who keeps dropping their books and Ipod, and the girl who spends so much time staring at the school dreamboat that she doesn't see the door until she's smashed into it. Many people are lucky and only get to witness the event. But there are some, like me, who are always the victims of fate, Lady Luck's wrath, and Sir Isaac Newton's famous discovery. So, here to describe the finer points of a famous German philosophy, here's Gwen, starring as Gary Coleman, and Root, starring as Nicky, in the thirteenth addition to the Grotto Q series, here's Schaden-sprite-freude! After much discussion and persuasion, Gwen and Root got Seymour, Ginger, Lily, Basil, and Johnny to demonstrate several popular Schadenfreude situations. And, for those of you who suffer from an inability to spell German words (it's a tricky language, spelling-wise), here's how you spell Schadenfreude: S is for SEYMOUR THE SCHMOLE, C is for CARL THE GREEN FUZZY, H is for the HOUSE where Johnny lives, A is for the AVALANCHE cause by a yodeling Fuzzy (I think his name is Frank), D is for the DIAPER Johnny threw at Basil when he was a baby, E is for EUGENE THE SNAIL, N is for NATALIE VENETIA BELCRON, the actress who plays Gwen as was the original Gary Coleman in Avenue Q, F is for FROG, R is for ROOT THE SPRITE, E is for EUGENE THE SNAIL, U is for UPSIDE-DOWN JOHNNY, D is for the DOOR to Johnny's house, and E is for EUGENE THE SNAIL (there aren't a lot of things in Johnny's world that start with the letter E). I own nothing in this video; the song belongs to the creators of Avenue Q, and the clips are from Johnny and the Sprites (duh), which belongs to it's creator, producer, and star, as well as the original Princeton/Rod from Avenue Q, John Tartaglia. Oh, and for those of you who have been following the Grotto Q series, I WANT to have I Wish I Could Go Back to Grotto's Grove up by the beginning of the second season of Johnny and the Sprites (January 19th).
