In our first part of our series on the Lexicon Omega USB recording interface, we looked at basic features. Now it's time to examine the setup of the unit for first-time installers. Gearwire's Joe Wallace gives us a few tips on getting Lexicon and the Cubase LE DAW software to talk to each other properly in this installment of our look at the Omega. The Lexicon Omega is a 24-bit USB interface with eight inputs, four buses, two-output USB I/O mixer, plus instrument input, MIDI I/O, and more. It can record four tracks at once and mix without the need for additional mixing hardware. It is an excellent tool for home studios, especially for those making the transition from portastudio-type multitracks to a more permanent setup. Check the vid for more information.
